The centralised photovoltaic power business mainly comprises the development, investment, design, procurement, construction and operation of large-scale centralised photovoltaic power plants, and the integration and research and development of photovoltaic power generation and related technologies. As at 31 December 2019, 53 centralised photovoltaic power plants with a total on-grid capacity of 2,256MW were held by the Group had been put into operation, most of them were situated in photovoltaic resource areas II and III, such as Hebei, Henan, Anhui, Shandong, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Jiangsu and other provinces, municipality and autonomous regions in the PRC. A centralised photovoltaic power plant with on-grid capacity of 6MW is in Whyalla, Southern Australia, Australia.
The Group participates in the construction of large-scale photovoltaic power plants in various forms with focuses on national Top Runner Program and centralised poverty alleviation projects, and makes persistent efforts on cost reduction, efficiency enhancement and technological innovation. In 2018, the Group invested in, developed, and completed the grid connection of three centralised photovoltaic poverty alleviation projects with a total capacity of 100MW, achieving targeted poverty alleviation by providing poverty alleviation subsidies totalling RMB240 million to 4,067 poverty-stricken families in 20-year from the commencement of operation of these projects. While making returns, the Group realises good social benefits to live up to its social responsibility and resolutely implement the national "targeted poverty alleviation" policy.
